Frequently asked questions

There’s no expiry date on vouchers that have been issued to you - they’ll always remain valid. Each point you earn has a life of two years (we’ll redeem your oldest points first), however if your account is closed for any reason, all points earned but not redeemed are forfeited.

Vouchers can be used at any John Lewis or Waitrose store, or online.

You’ll earn points on all purchases made with your Partnership Credit Card from the date the transaction is posted to your account, this is usually a few days after you make the transaction. Before it is posted, the transaction is pending and you’ll be able to see the transaction and posting dates on your monthly statement.

You can find a list of how and where you can earn points, in our Reward Programme Rules at John Lewis and Waitrose.

We redeem points three times a year – February, June and October – and we send vouchers in the post by the end of the following month.

Points redeemed Voucher delivered by
February End of March
June End of July
October End of November

Vouchers are issued in multiples of 500 points. Every 500 points entitles you to a £5 voucher. Unredeemed points are carried forward. For example, if you have 650 points, we’ll automatically issue you a £5 voucher and carry over your remaining 150 points.

See Reward Programme rules.
