Every month, hundreds of thousands of tourists arrive in Iceland, ready to be awed. There’s volcanic terrain, wild waterfalls and the best view of the Northern Lights (if you're lucky enough to visit between September and April). There's plenty to explore in the Nordic nation, from capital city Reykjavik to historical trading point Akureyri and beyond. While Iceland is rightfully known for its natural wonders, there's also a wealth of museums, concert halls, shops and restaurants to experience the country's world-renowned cultural output.
Before zipping your suitcase shut and boarding the first flight to Keflavik Airport, order your Icelandic Króna from select John Lewis Bureaux de Change. Online orders can be delivered to your home by the next working day, with free delivery for orders over £500.
Once you’re back from your holiday to Iceland, you can sell back any of your leftover Króna. Exchanging foreign currency to pounds can only be done in-store (as long as we have your currency in stock), so just visit your local John Lewis Bureau de Change with a valid form of ID. We do not accept coins in any of our buybacks.
If your trip to Iceland has been cancelled, you can return your Króna for a full refund within 35 days of the purchase date. Make sure you have your original order receipt or order confirmation when you make the return, as well as a valid form of ID and proof of the trip’s cancellation. Please note, returns and buybacks can only be made in-store.

Icelandic Króna is only sold in select John Lewis Bureaux de Change, so if your local Bureau does not sell Króna, you can order them online. They can be delivered straight to you at home or collected from your nearest John Lewis or Waitrose store.
For online orders, you can buy between £250 to £2,500 worth of Icelandic Króna. If you’re planning on bringing more than the equivalent of €10,000 into Iceland, you will need to declare the amount at customs when you arrive at border control. Remember that if you’re ordering €10,000 worth of travel money, you receive free delivery on that order.
