What countries use the UAE Dirham?
Off to Dubai? Abu Dhabi? Or Ras Al-Khaimah? We sell Dirhams for the United Arab Emirates online and in select John Lewis Bureau de Change stores. Don’t forget to buy your UAE Dirham before your trip so you have cash in hand for your United Arab Emirates holiday.
You can sell your UAE Dirham notes when you've landed back home. Just visit your local John Lewis Bureau de Change branch with a valid form of ID and your Dirham to exchange your currency back into pounds.
If your trip to the UAE has been cancelled, you can return your Dirhams for a full refund within 35 days of the purchase date. Make sure you have your original order receipt or order confirmation when you make the return.
Please note buy backs and returns can only be made in-store.
Many Middle Eastern countries use Dirhams as their official currency, however, UAE Dirhams can only be used within the United Arab Emirates. These cities and Emirates’ include:

UAE Dirham is only sold in select John Lewis Bureaux de Change. If your local John Lewis does not sell UAE Dirham, you can still order them online with next-day home delivery or click and click at your nearest John Lewis or Waitrose.
For online orders, you can buy between £250 to £2,500 worth of UAE Dirham. If you’re planning on travelling with more than 60,000 AED into the United Arab Emirates, you will need to declare the amount at customs when you arrive at border control.
