1. These Prize Draw Terms and Conditions (the "Prize Draw Terms”) are an agreement between you and us and apply if you have chosen to enter the Prize Draw  between 00:01 on 15 January 2025 and 23:59 on 14 February 2025 (“Promotional Period”). 

2. The “Promoter” is John Lewis plc. In these Offer Terms, “we” or “us” means John Lewis plc, 1 Drummond Gate, Pimlico, London SW1V 2QQ. 

Who Can Enter

3. The Prize Draw is open to recipients of the email from the Promoter inviting them  to enter the Prize Draw. 

4. Entrants must be UK residents and aged 18 or over. 

5. John Lewis and Waitrose Partners, employees, their immediate families, contractors, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the Prize Draw are excluded from the Prize Draw.

How to Enter

6. To be eligible for the Prize Draw (as defined below) you must select your home insurance renewal month as displayed on the email. Providing your renewal month means you are agreeing to be automatically entered into the “Prize Draw”.

7. The ability to enter the Prize Draw will be withdrawn at 00:00 on 15 February 2025 and no more entries will be accepted after this date.

The Offer

8. If you meet the requirements set out in these Prize Draw Terms, you will be eligible for one (1) entry into the Prize Draw only (the “Prize Draw”).

The Prize

9. There is one prize available to be won in this Prize Draw. One (1) individual winner will be picked at random to win one John Lewis gift card with a value of one thousand pounds sterling (GBP £1,000)  (the “Prize”). 

10. The Prize is personal to the winner and the sale or offering for sale, transfer, resale, donation, or exchange of the gift card is strictly prohibited (including, without limitation, in person or online via an online auction website or online ticket resale marketplace). The Promoter reserves the right to cancel and withdraw or make void any and all Prize elements if this term is not complied with. Use of the Prize is subject to the following terms and conditions.

11. The Prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, non-refundable and there are no cash alternatives or refund for unused portions of the Prize. 

Winner Selection & Notification 

12. All valid and eligible entries received during the Promotional Period will be entered into the Prize Draw, and the winner will be picked at random by 07 March 2025. The winner will be notified by email by a representative of the Promoter as soon as practicable after the Prize Draw, and no later than 21 March 2025, using the contact details provided to us with the Prize Draw entry. Failure to claim the Prize using the details provided in the email will result in the Prize being forfeited. 

13. The winner's details (surname and county) will be available for one (1) month after the Prize Draw date by sending a request to the Promoter at 1 Drummond Gate, Pimlico, London SW1V 2QQ, enclosing a stamped self-addressed envelope.

Data Protection and Publicity

14. By opting in to the Prize Draw, you understand that for the purposes of administering the Prize Draw and the Prize fulfilment, it is necessary for the Promoter to hold and process your personal data.

15. If you are a winner of the Prize Draw, you agree that the Promoter may use your surname and county of residence to announce the winner of this Prize Draw and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes, for no further consideration

Limitation of Liability 

16. The Promoter and its associated agencies, companies and distributors will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person's negligence) in connection with this prize draw or accepting or using the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (including liability for fraud or death or personal injury arising from negligence) in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law. Your statutory rights are not affected.

17. The winner takes part in the Prize at their own risk and to the fullest extent allowed by law; the Promoter accepts no liability with regard to such Prize whatsoever. The Promoter will have no liability in connection with any circumstances outside their control with respect to the Prize. 

General Terms

18.  The Promoter may at its absolute discretion award the Prize to a reserve selected at the same time as the original winner or dispose of the Prize at its discretion without liability to the winner. 

19. There are no charges associated with opting to enter the Prize Draw.

20. No responsibility will be accepted for entries that are delayed, regardless of the cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of the Promoter of any kind.

21. The Promoter reserves the right to declare the Prize Draw void if it considers it unreasonable that the Prize Draw should proceed, whether due to an administrative error or otherwise. 

22. Those entries not in accordance with the Prize Draw Terms will be void and will entitle the Promoter to exclude the entry from the Prize Draw; any entry containing false, incomplete or misleading information will be void and will entitle the Promoter to exclude the entry from the Prize Draw.

23. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Prize Draw Terms or if the Promoter believes that your conduct may be unlawful or otherwise bring the Prize Draw into disrepute, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to make your entry void and will entitle the Promoter to exclude you from participating in the Prize Draw.

24. The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the Prize Draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome of the Prize Draw.

25. The Promoter reserves the right to suspend, cancel, or amend the Prize Draw where it becomes necessary to do so, with no liability to any entrants or third parties.

26. This Prize Draw and any issues arising out of it shall be governed in accordance with English Law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
